
SABB needed an EMV card issuance solution that could interface to both its Debit and Credit Card systems and which could support EMV Chip standards as determined by the local regulator, as well as Credit Card Associations such as VISA and MasterCard. Bell ID® EMV Token Manager has enabled SABB to gain a maximum return on investment through efficient and reliable EMV data preparation, central and instant issuance of chip cards and the ability to expand with features such as EMV scripting and support for mobile payments using NFC technology.
Bell ID® Identity Token Manager enabled the seamless migration from traditional Qatar identity cards to the new electronic Smart ID cards. The outcome of this 3 phase, 4 year project was that Qatari residents and foreign nationals were issued with highly secure, multi-application, contact / contactless smart eID’s. As a result of migrating all existing paper-based identity cards to electronic identity cards, the State of Qatar recognised the need to select a sophisticated smart card management solution to act as a central management engine for their 3 phase project.
KNVB chose Bell ID® Identity Token Manager for a league-wide rollout of a multi-application smart ID card, supporting both centrally controlled as well as club-specific, local applications. Instead of issuing separate cards for their own electronic payment systems and loyalty programs, the clubs can now activate these on the compulsory Club Cards. Longevity of season ticket tokens expands to 5 years, as section and seat numbers can now be managed digitally, instead of re-issuing tokens every season.

This is the first of its kind in Asia and the third in the world. The Schiphol Group implemented a multi-application corporate ID card programme for all staff working at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol in 2003. Bell ID® Identity Token Manager formed the backbone of a centralized, fully scalable and highly secure solution for issuing and managing ID cards for 80,000 people employed by the company and based at the airport’s premises. The system supports multiple access control systems and it includes iris recognition technology.
Bell ID® Identity Token Manager offers the Ministry of Defence a unique solution for the management of the complete lifecycle of the newly issued military ID cards with their corresponding applications. The following operational processes are supported by the Smart Card Management System: access control, identification, payment at canteens and Army-shop quota management for tax free items. This project was the first multi-functional ID card of a defence organization worldwide and still draws international attention.
With Bell ID® Identity Token Manager and Bell ID® Key Manager jointly forming the core engine of the entire Austrian Social Security e-card architecture, Bell ID provided a web-based solution for the Central Association of Austrian Social Insurance Institutions to centrally manage the complete life cycle of all cards for citizens and practitioners. The new e-card contains personal card holder data as well as four digital certificates for data security and verification of the cardholder’s identity.
