solution_corporate ANDiS Management Systems constitute a true end-to-end card management system solution for corporate organisations, including such modules as enrolment, checking mechanisms, authorisation, card administration, issuance, crypto management, self-service portal and others. The ANDiS Card & Application Management System allows issuers to use one card per employee in all their branch offices around the world, by communicating between several different access control hosts, logical access control systems, e-password wallets and other application like vending or e-purse solutions. Below is a list of references from or related to this sector. Feel free to click on these to open the relevant project flyer.

As companies grow into large-scale organisations, through autonomous growth or mergers and acquisitions, managers often question who is responsible for safeguarding their business. Is it Facilities - securing access to buildings and car parks, is it the IT Department - securing access to networks and servers, or is it the HR Department maintaining data on employees and their privileges?

Managing data
Growth of business automatically results in growth of sensitive data. Branches, divisions and departments within the corporation may all have their own sources of data and their own methods of identification, verification and authentication to access that data.

Consider this example: Facilities issues Branch A employees with a contactless smart card or a simple key to have them access the building and the car park - and maintains a database accordingly. Facilities also issues another smart card, enabling employees to pay electronically for their meals and drinks - and maintains a database accordingly. The IT Department in Branch A provides employees with username/password combinations to access the network - and maintains a database accordingly. The HR Department issues a magnetic stripe card with the company logo, the employee's photograph and personal data in order to register time and attendance - and maintains a database accordingly.

Embracing legacy systems
Within nationwide or global corporations, the number of databases is huge and the amount of sensitive data to be managed is massive. As the databases are not connected, much of the data will be duplicated, or obsolete. Some data will be removed from one database, but not automatically from another. Former employees may still possess a card which gives them access to buildings. Management prefers sensitive data to be managed centrally, effectively and efficiently. The most difficult element in achieving this is getting all departments to communicate to establish interoperability. For central management of data there is no need to eliminate all existing local structures. ANDiS© acts as a shell around these local structures, communicating all relevant data changes regarding staff (cardholders), their privileges (the applications on their cards), and their authentication tools (the card status: lost, stolen, revoked).

A unified solution
ANDiS© provides for effective procedures, safeguarding overall business, as the information changed in the central ANDiS© database is automatically communicated to all applicable local systems, and vice versa. This procedure, for example, prevents local systems from granting access to a building immediately after an employee has resigned but before his card has been physically withdrawn. Higher levels of efficiency are achieved because ANDiS© eliminates the need for extensive management of numerous local databases. The system enables central purchasing of one type of card for use within the whole organisation. Such a card can even be equipped with a combination of chips, magstripe and barcode, to facilitate step-by-step migration and investment towards one common standard for all local systems.
