Pat Curran

Executive Chairman
A serial technology entrepreneur, Pat Curran has led Bell ID for over 10 years, steering the Company’s strategy and broadening its product portfolio to embrace EMV and Mobile from its Identity heritage.

As well as bringing his 40 years of experience and outstanding vision to bear on the product, Pat has overseen the Company’s geographical, research and development and global partnership expansion. Pat’s enthusiasm for the Company, its dedicated staff and loyal customer base have resulted in Bell ID being recognized as the foremost card application and key management software solution provider. Bell ID has an international reputation for expertise and excellence in all forms of smart card management.

Prior to guiding Bell ID to success, Pat founded and subsequently floated with a full listing on the UK Stock Exchange, Bell Group plc, the dominant brand in European electronic high security for financial institutions. Bell Group plc was acquired in 2004 by Securitas in a £100 million deal; from which he subsequently span out Bell ID as a private company, investing in his belief that Bell ID could grow to a similar size and stature.

Whilst the Chief Executive of Bell Group plc, Pat was awarded with a “Master Entrepreneur of the Year Award” as a result of the consistent double digit growth of the Group with turnover exceeding £70 million per annum and established operating divisions across Europe, Scandinavia, Australia and The Americas. Pat additionally leads an international facilities management software company and has a number of other board level appointments.

He lives in Hatfield Heath, UK and is an active supporter of his local community, is Chairman of the local Takeley Football Club and is also a supporter of the Duke of Edinburgh Awards Scheme.

David Orme

Chief Executive Officer
David has a strong track record in leading companies that undertake high value, large, complex and critical project implementations demanding close cooperation and partnering in niche markets.

He is an experienced all-rounder supporting the Company’s key sales and marketing management personnel and their business development activity. He has a wealth of experience in concluding commercial contracts and believes that his team can drive real benefit for the end user, the partner or the reseller from Bell ID’s solutions.

David mentors an outstanding team of the world’s best experts in smart card, application and cryptographic key management software. As the market leading provider, Bell ID is continually investing to expand its product portfolio and improve the return on investment for customers.

David graduated from Leeds University with a business degree in 1985; before starting his career with Thorn EMI and its electronic security subsidiary. In 1992, David joined Bell Security Limited and together with the founders successfully took the company through IPO with a full listing on the UK Stock Exchange in 1999, the listed entity being Bell Group plc.

He later joined the board as Chief Operating Officer until leaving to take up the same role at Quadnetics Group plc, another major UK electronic security company. David joined Bell ID in November 2007.

Igno Peters

Chief Operating Officer
Having worked with the company since its inception, Igno has a wealth of experience with project implementations and over 20 years of experience within the smart card industry.

Igno has been Managing Director of Bell ID since 2001, prior to that he served the company in a number of different roles including Program Manager and Director of Operations.

His career began as a specialist smart card consultant that strategically guided Government and financial institution customers. Together with Pat Curran he was instrumental in buying out the Bell ID business from Securitas in 2004, which resulted in the formation of the company as an independent and internationally recognised market leader in smart card software solutions.

In his current role of Chief Operations Officer Igno brings to Bell ID a great deal of expertise and a depth of experience in delivering high quality software solutions and services to our global customers.

Igno holds a master’s degree in Management Studies from the University of Amsterdam.

Chakib Bouda

Chief Technology Officer
Chakib has been working with Bell ID since 2000 in various roles. Both in his current as well as his previous role as Technical Project Manager he has gained an enormous amount of experience with Bell ID’s Token Management system, both from a functional and technical specifications perspective as well as in his role as solution architect. He has been involved in numerous projects ranging from EMV banking solutions, to corporate ID projects and Government ID schemes. Chakib has been instrumental in the development of Bell ID's mobile solutions.

Chris Harvey

Chief Financial Controller
Chris is a commercially minded professional with strong hands on management experience at both Managing Director and Finance Director level.

He has overseen Bell ID’s finances since joining the Company in 2005 and brings a breadth of experience as a result of roles with large corporations in the IT, Services and Manufacturing sectors across Europe, the Middle East and Australasia.

As well as leading Bell ID on international financial matters, Chris holds a number of non-Executive Directorships and guides several business leaders in the SME sector on acquisitions, growth and MBO’s. He graduated from Bristol University with a BSc in Economics and Accounting before completing his professional qualification in chartered accountancy (ACA) with PwC in London.

After completing almost 10 years with Marley plc, latterly as the Group Financial Controller, he moved on to OCS Limited as Finance Director. He was also until recently, a non-Exec of HRGO plc a £100 million recruitment services company.

Chris has spent much of his life as a resident of the County of Kent, UK, where he has enjoyed a long and successful association with both Maidstone and Blackheath Rugby Clubs and Medway Yacht Club.

Martin Cox

Global Head of Sales
A veteran of the cards and payments arena, Martin has worked with technology companies in this space since 1988 and has been with Bell ID since 2002.

With more than 18 years’ experience in smart cards and a focus on multi-application software solutions since 2000, Martin has assisted Bell ID’s expansion into Finance solutions during the last decade and continues to do so as the company further broadens its portfolio into NFC payment and other mobile solutions.

Martin started his career at NCR before a period at Datacard in both technical and commercial roles where he gained a deep technical understanding of personalisation solutions. Having applied this experience in a commercial role, he subsequently oversaw expansion in the Middle East culminating in the opening of an office in the region and significant revenue growth. He ultimately managed the Europe, Middle East and Africa distribution channel prior to moving on after a decade of success.

Having gained a strong understanding of the payments ecosystem at ACI Worldwide as part of the smart card team, Martin then joined Australian software vendor Cards ETC as Director of Partners and Alliances before bringing his wealth of experience to Bell ID.

During the last ten years, in addition to leading the sales team, Martin been a key part of the Management team that joined Pat Curran in acquiring the business in 2004 and which has consolidated its position as a leader in the field of sophisticated and market-leading software solutions across its three core markets of ID, Finance and Mobile.

Martin lives in the UK and spends his spare time photographing live music, with the results regularly being published in the local press and online.

David Worthington

Principal Consultant Payment & Chip Technology
David joined the company in early 2011 to advise Bell ID and major clients on strategic opportunities in the application of new payments, mobile and chip technologies. With over 20 years in the smart card, certification authority, and payments industries, David brings to Bell ID significant experience from previous management roles for HSBC, NatWest, Mondex International/MasterCard, Keycorp EMEA, and as the Advisor for Banking Technology to the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency.

Jan Dart

Advisory Director
Jan has been involved in the IT and payments arena for nearly 30 years, particularly in EMV smart card payments. He has held a variety of executive, technical and business development roles worldwide. For the last few years, Jan has almost exclusively been involved in mobile payments and is currently involved in the development and deployment of Bell ID’s mobile solutions to customers.

Grant Evans

Advisory Director
Grant is responsible for strengthening and developing the company’s strategic alliances, as well as providing complementary support for the advancement of Bell ID’s identity token management solutions. Grant has joined Bell ID with 25 years’ experience as a Senior Executive, CEO and board member of various public and private organisations within the security and identity sector. Most recently Grant was Chairman and CEO of ActivIdentity, a NASDAQ listed security company.
